Open Sky Wilderness Therapy contracted ERO to survey wilderness therapy camps and activity areas on BLM lands in southeastern Utah as part of an environmental assessment for a Special Recreation Permit with the Monticello Field Office. In the 101 acres surveyed, ERO documented 18 sites ranging from small lithic and artifact scatters to open habitation sites with large rubble mounds, kivas, and extensive midden deposits that date from the Pueblo II to Pueblo III periods.
