Since 2008, ERO has provided on‐call vegetation and natural resource services to Colorado Springs Utilities for a variety of infrastructure projects, including construction of a 96-inch raw water pipeline for the Southern Delivery System. Services include preparing habitat assessments, biological surveys, resource mapping, and wetlands design/oversight for electricity generation and transmission, water supply and distribution systems, sanitation systems, and stormwater control. ERO has worked closely with Utilities to conduct pre‐ and post‐construction assessments and develop avoidance, minimization, and mitigation recommendations for water pipeline and electrical transmission line construction, sewer line repairs and solar array construction. Specifically, these services include compliance with the Endangered Species Act, Migratory Bird Treaty Act, Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act, and Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
